Description of the job

A vacancy for a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) has arisen within Airbus in Hamburg at the earliest possible start date. You will join Cargo & Cabin Electronics.

Who we are?
The Airbus Cabin and Cargo Electronics design offices are responsible for the cabin and its systems on all Airbus aircraft. We design and develop to market needs and we support the final product until deployment into service. The M-Team Hamburg supports various, cross-program activities and projects in the field of Cargo & Cabin Electronics.

What we are seeking for?
We are seeking a candidate with skills in developing model-based systems specifications for Cabin & Cargo electronics products (e.g. Cabin Management System). The specified models defined in UML/SysML and are executable in order to simulate and verify the product (Model in the loop testing).

Tasks & accountabilities

What's your challenge?
The key task is to define, produce, validate and support systems simulation products for Airbus internal and external customers matching the required safety, quality and performance levels according to Airbus systems engineering processes and the needs of our customers. Also deliver safe systems which minimise operational costs and maximise performance and reliability throughout the product lifecycle.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  You have successfully completed a degree in Electrical Engineering / Telecommunications / Mechatronics or equivalent
·  You offer relevant professional experience in system development with Model-Based Systems, ideally cabin systems
·  You have knowledge of a high-level programming language such as C ++, C # or Java and knowledge of semiformal modeling languages such as UML or SysML
·  You own Software architecture, Model-based Verification & Validation
·  You offer knowledge in one or more of these tools, like RHAPSODY, PTC Modeler, MATLAB, SIMULINK, Requirement Based Engineering (RBE)
·  English and German: fluent
