A vacancy for a Buyer has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.

You will join the Detail Parts team.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Define and implement a commodity-specific strategy
·  Define measuring and target parameters for performance in the procurement function
·  Develop and negotiate contractual rules, authorize contracts, manage contract changes
·  Select a supplier, authorize supplier selection
·  Regularly verify/assess/support/present/train processes, flows, capacities and systems of/at the supplier (e.g. supply chain, engineering, commercial aspects, environmental aspects, etc. and other interfaces (internal/external)
·  Introduce/control supplier development and initiatives concerning current and future delivery performance (quality, deadlines and conditions), select candidates and define targets (e.g. cost-saving efforts, improvement of quality and delivery performance), agree and monitor continuous improvement process
·  Initiate, lead/steer project group and project work for supplier identification and selection, contract conclusion and implementation and other topics concerning procurement and commodity groups
·  Assess supplier risk regarding economic and capacitive development, prioritize and define risk responsibilities, risk management (define and implement action plans or monitor their implementation, etc.)

Required skills

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

·  Backround in Engineering or Economics
·  Experience in procurement
·  Proficiency in MS Office
·  Stress resistant
·  Ability to work within a team a lead multi-functional teams
·  Strong interpersonal skills & negotiation skills (different levels of hierearchy)
·  Autonomous and ability to take decisions
·  Assertiveness
·  English: negotiation level. Other languages would be a plus.
