Key tasks
The Housekeeping Clerk is responsible for controlling the issues of room amenities, cleaning products and materials by:
- Taking note of items decreasing in stock
- Making requisition according to par stock and controlling quantity at delivery
Controls the stock of room amenities, cleaning products and materials by:
- Inserting number of items used daily and submitting a report at each end of month.
- Avoiding waste and excess use of room amenities, cleaning products and materials through spot checks in pantries and during daily issues.
- Doing monthly inventory of room amenities and cleaning products.
Is responsible of the maintenance and delivery of cleaning materials and products by:
- Issuing cleaning products and materials (ex: broom, mops, sprayers etc.) to room attendants when broken or old.
- Issuing cleaning products to P.Area
Controls the attendance of housekeeping staff by:
- Ensuring that attendance sheets are filled correctly
- Sending the attendance sheets to accounts department at each end of month
- Making the follow up concerning sick, local and injury leaves
- Filling the “Large attendance sheet” to be submitted to HR office at each end of month
Maintains the general cleanliness of Housekeeping shelves, Lost and Found Store, and cupboards by:
- Arranging items in good order and keeping items in their respective place
- Distributing Lost and Found each month.
Replaces the Housekeeping Coordinator when needed by:
- Answering calls and delivering information or messages to departments concerned
- Doing the follow up of the status of rooms upon arrival, departures and moves with departments concerned
