Program SaVIE (VIE of Sanofi) is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

JOB PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:
Sanofi as a global leader in the healthcare industry is actively looking for opportunities to foster external innovation. As part of this activity, Sanofi has established multiple alliances and public private partnerships with other pharmaceutical companies, academic institutes, and small and medium sized companies. These constitute a wide range of indications and technologies, covering various aspects of the drug discovery and development value chain.
The Research & Development (R&D) Alliance Management Team, as part of Sanofi’s Strategy & Business Development department, is actively managing these alliances, monitoring timelines and supervising timely achievement of the deliverables and milestones. Alliance Management is on top of all non-scientific items of an alliance (legal, IP, finance…) in close relationship with the scientific leader.
The team requires support to adequately cover the smaller alliances as well and provide a portfolio overview in an increased number of alliances.
The VIE position will contribute to the alliance management team’s mission:
- Improving Sanofi’s external innovation capacity by managing smaller-sized alliances and supporting the alliance management of larger alliances.
- Supporting effectively and results-oriented the preparation and implementation of complex PPP consortia with external partners for Sanofi R&D and affiliates
- Overviewing and documenting the corresponding alliance portfolio
- Monitoring of project progress based on relevant Key Performance Indicators
- Providing periodical reporting on project status and progress
- Proactive management in the case of issues arising in alliances
- Updating profiles in reporting and project documentation tools and other tracking systems
- Establishing one page executive partnership briefs
CANDIDATE'S PROFILE:
Education:
- Master's degree in scientific or medical area of studies
- An additional MBA or other business/legal degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical sectors and the drug development process is a plus
- Preferred experience in project management, contracting, intellectual property management
Professional skills and attitude required:
- Ability to build cross-functional and external relationships and to communicate with partners in other companies and academic institutes
- Good organization and time management skills
- Self-motivated and an excellent team player
- Capability to build teams of stakeholders with different backgrounds internally and externally
- Willing to work under tight deadlines and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Languages:
Full proficiency in English is a must.
German will be an asset.
