Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Supervisor I Quality A320 to join the FAL based in Mobile, AL

The Quality Supervisor will translate Airbus strategy into meaningful objectives in their perimeter. Give meaning to ensure team adherence to reach business objectives and customer satisfaction. Inspire and develop their team.

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges

1. Lead and Develop a Team: 45%

· 
Lead and develop the Customer Line Quality Inspection Team, ensure that the Level 3 qualification of inspection personnel is in accordance with the Airbus Qualification requirements.

· 
Lead and develop the Customer Line Quality Inspection Team, ensure that the FAL-GTE qualification of inspection personnel is in accordance with the Airbus Qualification requirements.

· 
Lead and develop the Customer Line Quality Inspection Team, ensure that the FAA Part 145 qualification of inspection personnel is in accordance with the Airbus Americas Repair Station Qualification requirements.

· 
Risk mitigation of quality escapes endangering the aircraft built and or product safety, launch of immediate corrective actions through QCM.

· 
Ensure that ALBs are managed and drumbeat from creation to closure in line with Quality responsibilities.

· 
Act as the Quality Responsible Focal Point for all internal and external Audits in the assigned area of responsibility.

· 
Liaise with Internal Customers and manage their pain points which come from the assigned area.

· 
Implement working level processes based on the experience and recommendations from other CL Quality operations. Identifies opportunities and implements adaptations for local application of such processes; sometimes having to enforce difficult positions which might impact the Nominal Operational Flow.

· 
Coach and Mentor to ensure optimum performance in inspection procedures and methods of assigned Inspectors. Ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations/company policies and procedures relating to task and documentation.

· 
Conduct periodic performance evaluations, make recommendations regarding personnel actions and collaborates with A320 Quality Manager in employee communication content and communicating on personnel actions.

· 
Daily planning and control workload of all assigned employees, adjust headcount and overtime to ensure on time delivery per approved schedule. Assist Manager A320 CL Quality in scheduling CL Quality working hours, duty cycle, shift rotation schedules, time and attendance, etc.

· 
Able to provide efficient feed-back analysis and trend to management.

· 
Ensure that Part 145 Work Packages are managed and drumbeat from creation to closure

2. Ensure Compliance: 30%

· 
Ensure all EASA-POA regulatory requirements are adhered to in the A320 CL Flightline and Delivery organization

· 
Ensure that all technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft are carried out to the POA standards, inspection plans, and attested

· 
Ensure that all delegated FAL-GTE activities in the production process of the aircraft are carried out to the Flight Test Organization standards, ground testing of the aircraft completed and attested

· 
Work with Operational Leadership on meeting/maintaining the required level of delegated inspection competencies and qualifications of the Production team.

· 
Ensure that the Aircraft production and the milestone TAC is in compliance with the Quality, cost and lead-time targets of FAL-USA

· 
Ensure that employees are in compliance with OSHA, safety and environmental regulations

· 
If needed post ToT, ensure all FAA regulatory requirements are adhered to in the A320 CL Flightline and Delivery organization

3. Project Support: 5%

· 
Support the deployment & implementation of sustainable improvement projects and standardize way of working like Quality Excellence

· 
Responsible for Continuous Improvement within your defined area

· 
Basic awareness of the AOS System and has the ability to work in a QPS Brick

Other duties as assigned: 20%

· 
Work with respective functions to ensure all tooling, consumables and relative equipment are procured / calibrated through the right channels in order to perform daily tasks.

· 
Work within a MFT to resolve Quality issues and ensure constant feedback loops with MAP, ME, QCM, CAQM, CAM, CADM, and Program.

· 
Supervisor I is expected to understand Airbus policies and processes (i.e. ALB, Production Ground Operations, FOT, Pre & Post Flight, delegation, and others.)

· 
Act as a Deputy in the absence of the Manager in any L3/L4 meeting or MFT.

Your boarding pass

· 
A Bachelors’ degree in Aeronautical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

· 
Must have 5 years flightline experience in a Quality role and knowledge of aircraft operation requirements/activities

· 
FAA Part 145 Repair Station or Airline experience

· 
Minimum 2 years experience leading a team in a similar position is preferred

· 
Demonstrate effective communication skills on different levels, a structured way of working and the ability to deal with a high volume of complex information

· 
Must be able to use Google and SAP
