**POSITION IS LOCATED IN GAINESVILLE, TEXAS **

The Human Resource Business Partner - Labor Relations will consult with employees, supervisors and managers to provide expert advice and recommend solutions on the full spectrum of employee and labor relations matters and compliance issues. This position is responsible for internal investigations, and recommending appropriate action. The HRBP is a close partner to the first line supervisors, guiding them to ensure compliance with the collective bargaining agreement between the Teamsters and Zodiac Seats US.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide HR consulting services to supervisors and managers regarding ER policies, the CBA and their application.
· Mediate supervisor/employee issues, assisting both parties in coming to a satisfactory and appropriate resolution.
· Manage involuntary terminations which include risk assessment, approval, structuring the termination and the communication. Work with Legal to investigate and formulate responses to agency charges (EEOC, DOL, Wage and Hour Board, etc.).
· Work with Sr. HR Business Partner and HRVP to prepare, plan for, conduct, and consult with Legal on recommendations in complex investigations.
· Prepare for and execute third step grievance meetings with local Union Business Agent and for the last step, Joint Rail-Truck Grievance Board(Cartage Board) or FMCS Mediation/Arbitration.
· Help train supervisors and managers to counsel, provide employees with development opportunities, and ensure that they are able to meet current and future performance standards.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
· Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with all aspects of labor and employee relation activities and managing dispute resolution issues.
· Strong positive employee relations skills, problem solving skills, including grievance resolution, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and organization and analytical capabilities.
· Self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented.
· Must have applied knowledge of federal and state regulations (EEO, FLSA, etc.)
· PHR or SPHR certification is desired.
