OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:

· Develop valid, feasible production schedules for fabrication and assembly based on equipment, labor and raw material availability.
· Initiate timely order parts releases to keep the production flow in line with the master schedule.
· Publish and perform root cause analysis on key metrics including Actual vs. Scheduled Productions and Master Schedule Stability
· Interact frequently with sales, marketing and manufacturing personnel to balance supply and demand.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Use Capacity Planning tools to determine if production will be constrained in future periods; load level production plan, and work with operations to identify potential corrective actions such as: working overtime, adding equipment, outsourcing or expediting.
· Responsible for inventory positioning and determining if inventory levels support production schedule
· Review New Product introductions (NPI) to ensure that Supply Chain can support all program requirements.
· Assign Manufacturing Orders (MO) release priorities based on customer needs, capacity and production availability.
· Participate in meetings, and keep up to date on issues related to Manufacturing, Planning, New Product introductions (NPI), Line Fill Rates, Metrics, and other related Supply Chain issues.
· Resolve issues by presenting various alternatives for decision at weekly Materials Planning meetings.
· Coordinates the flow of material and paperwork between Zodiac Seats Gainesville and satellite factories in the United States and foreign countries. Must be able to work with counterparts at these facilities to ensure a smooth flow and maintain schedules.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

· Knowledge and skills:

· Must have knowledge of MAPICS computer system.
· Must have knowledge of MRP/ERP system.
· Must be able to interact successfully with Engineering, Tooling, Purchasing and Manufacturing Departments.
· Must have a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
· Must have computer experience with Excel Spreadsheets and preferably Access databases

· Education and/or Experience:

One year in planning required. Associates degree in Business or Technical field preferred.
