There's no stopping us growing and we are looking for you to join our Indirect Procurement team, especially for our  Facilities, Payments and Professional Services departments– to start immediately, in a permanent role and at our beautiful Berlin location. 

It is our assignment to ensure, in a transparent manner, that all the right tools and best processes for our Indirect Procurement activities are set up and are accessible. As part of this team you will take up an important role and will proactively contribute to the sourcing strategy of Zalando.

Your Challenge

·  You will be responsible for the procurement in our Real Estate, Professional Services or IT-Hardware department and will be in close contact with our suppliers
·  You will develop, establish and maintain cost effective, service oriented and quality focused long-term strategy supplier relationships in accordance with company objectives and industry best practices
·  You will be responsible for developing and implementing functional supplier performance indicators
·  Analysing and evaluating supplier proposals, conducting negotiations with our suppliers, handling ongoing administrative tasks, as well as executing risk assessments and containment actions will belong to your responsibilities
·  You will support your colleagues in the indirect procurement project team with the implementation of a new eProcurement tool
·  You will support your internal customers and stakeholders to comply with our procurement processes and guidelines and you are capable of understanding and fulfilling their procurement needs
·  You will enhance the professional image of the indirect procurement team with your supporting and hands-on attitude

What you've got

·  You have some years of relevant working experience in a purchasing function, managing suppliers, preferably in a fast-paced, international company
·  You have successfully completed your degree in business administration, sourcing, supply chain management, finance or in a similar field
·  You have built up a strong global supplier network, are dedicated and are able to impress by bringing forward new and innovative procurement approaches
·  You have excellent negotiation skills, you are analytical and you have a problem-solving attitude
·  Especially during hectic moments, you don't lose time and find practical solutions to complex questions. Moreover, you have already been able to achieve cost reductions as well as efficiency increases
·  In the past you were already able to demonstrate your ability to create, implement and maintain strong supplier relationships
·  You are constantly challenging the status quo and proactively searching for new ways to improve efficiency and to attain cost savings
·  You are able to interact fluently in English and German with multiple stakeholders at various hierarchy levels, both internally and externally
