The opportunity

Become a part of Zalando’s mission to build one of the world’s top tech brands by joining our Network Infrastructure and Services team in the Hardware Operations Unit as a Network Engineer - Campus Network Expert. The team is responsible for the operates of the entire Office Network infrastructure within Zalando. It creates concepts, develops new and operates all existing network services.

Your role

·  The day to day operations of the Campus network, including switches, routers, firewalls and Wifi devices.
·  Resolving problems and creating troubleshoots for all network components.
·  Working in a team and performing maintenance duties as well as delegate tasks within the team.
·  Working on complex projects to expand the Campus network.
·  Writing technical documentation.

What we are looking for

·  At least 6 years of working in a multi-vendor enterprise network team responsible for multiple locations.
·  Deep knowledge of Juniper JunOS and working experience with the following devices: MX, EX and SRX.
·  Understanding of ipsec vpn, both static and dynamic.
·  Experience with HP Comware devices is an advantage.
·  Experience with Juniper ScreenOS (SSG) devices is an advantage.
·  Experience with the following devices is an advantage: F5, Palo Alto, HP Procurve (Aruba).
·  Deep understanding of the following routing protocols: OSPF and BGP.
·  Customer oriented.
·  Can troubleshoot problems in the network in a dynamic L2 environment.
·  Ability to present and explain technical information to diverse types of audiences.
·  Installing, configuring, managing and troubleshooting all of the network components.
·  Configuring and managing network services such as NPS, DHCP and Radius.
·  Working with Management software such as IMC and Juniper Space.
·  Fluency in written and spoken English, German is a plus.
