Our Junior Product Developer needs to be a team player who would welcome involvement in cross-departmental projects. You will manage and develop the supplier base with in order to maintain customer satisfaction, assuring quality and fit and minimizing returns.

There's no stopping us growing and we are looking for you to join our team to start immediately, in a permanent role as a Footwear Technologist at our beautiful Berlin Friedrichshain location.

Your Tasks

·  You will work closely with design, buying, merchandising and the supply base, drawing on a solid understanding of the footwear manufacturing processes and costings
·  You will use lessons learnt through benchmarking, fit days and wearer trials to make sure the product is competitive and ahead of the game
·  You will keep up to date with industry innovations, networking internally and externally to identify opportunities in the supply base
·  You will analyze return rates & reoccurring issues and put corrective action plans in place
·  You will conduct fit session and wear test trials
·  You will take ownership of confirmation report and production approval followed by administrative record
·  You will prepare styles for photo and content production

What You’ve Got

·  You have a degree or traineeship in the textiles industry along with broad technical knowledge and a sound understanding of quality management and product development
·  You have at least 1 year of experience as a Junior Product Developer in either retailing or manufacturing environment
·  You must be able to demonstrate expertise in fitting/sizing/developing footwear
·  You have a sound understanding of retail procedures and a good commercial awareness
·  You have a good product, market and consumer knowledge
·  You have strong communication and networking skills across all levels to build relationships across the business and with suppliers in person, by email and on the phone
·  You are reliable, flexible and good at working within a fast pace team
·  You already have line management experience
