The Business

Group Exchange develops and delivers private group benefits exchanges for employers of all sizes. Our product portfolio includes a wide array of technology and services that support employers in the administration of their employee benefits programs – our private exchange offers a satisfying benefits shopping experience.

The Role

We have an opportunity for a professional and experienced individual to fill the role of part-time IT Technician. In this position, the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all computer workstations and associated software within the office building. The part-time IT Technician will also be the main point of contact for employees who are experiencing computer issues. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join an established organization that has experienced significant growth recently.

Responsibilities include:

·  Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software
·  Offer daily operations and systems support to personnel
·  Verify functionality of hardware and software components
·  Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone
·  Inventory control
·  Light building maintenance
·  Assist employees with computer problems and answer their questions

The Requirements

·  Associates Degree in Computer Science preferred
·  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
·  Experience in computer networks and systems maintenance
·  Background in IT is preferred
·  Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations
·  Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience
·  Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required
