An existing opportunity is now available for an experienced R&D Packaging Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and managing delivery of packaging solutions for deployment of innovations, cost reduction and sustainability projects.

Will also ensure the level of quality, functionality, cost effectiveness and consumer/shopper/customer appeal are in line with the brand requirements. You will play a key role in delivering packaging cost effectiveness initiatives, supporting supply chain operational issues and ensuring that all artwork meets the needs of the category. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility to go permanent.

Main Accountabilities:

· Local development of packaging materials & solutions based on local and global specifications
· Organising, conducting and reporting of factory and transit trials to verify the packaging design, manufacture and distribution
· Manage the packaging development work, collaborate with the project teams and communicate to stakeholders
· Development of distribution packaging, including any specific customer requirements such as Retailer Ready Packaging
· Providing all relevant data and support the project gate process in a timely and clear manner
· Close monitoring of packaging quality issues and working with Supply Chain and regional/global teams to resolve

Skills/Experience:

· Ability to work independently
· Preferred a high level of Packaging Development Expertise
· Project Management experience
· Communication & Stakeholder Management
· Analytical skills and influencing skills
· Some Supply Chain Understanding
· Tertiary qualifications in Engineering/Science related disciplines (preferred)
· Advanced MS Excel skills
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
