MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The Home Care Area Engineer is responsible for the overall planning, leading, organizing and coordinating related functions of all activities and operations under the area of responsibility of Maintenance Engineering for Production Facilities and Equipment.

JOB SUMMARY

· Develop and implement an effective maintenance program in line with the Technology direction and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) approach.
· Ensures flawless and on-time delivery of innovations by actively participating in the early equipment management.
· Leads in the installation, commissioning and ramp up of new equipment.
· Provide inputs in ensuring compliance to statutory and legal related requirement in the operation of manufacturing equipment & facilities.
· Provide inputs on Risk Assessment and Risk Management of all innovations
· Exercise skill & lead in diagnosing faults and overseeing time-critical repairs.
· Provides input in the preparation and justification of CAPEX (Capital Expenditure).
· Coordinates with suppliers in fabrication and development of machine, ie. Low Cost Automation, Line simplification, etc.
· Through the production phase, work to improve the useful life of equipment and machinery.
· Directing, instructing and supervising mechanical technicians, electrical & instruments technicians and third party contractors in the maintenance of production equipment and facilities.
· Develop and implement the Time Based Maintenance (TBM) and Conditioned Based Maintenance (CBM) programs of production equipment and machinery.
· Leads in the implementation of programs to improve plant efficiency, capacity, costs, manning optimization and reduce complexity.
· Aligns with Manufacturing Support on plant capacity and line improvement plans (ex: OEE, LCA, etc)
· Provides input in the setting of R&M Budget and ensure R&M cost target is achieved.
· Develop a Training and Education modules for the improvement of skill of operators.
· Develop and implement skills training (Autonomous Maintenance STEP 4) for all operators.
· Ensure that information in the planned maintenance system (SAP) is up to date.
· Ensures that KPIs related to PM (OEE, No of Breakdowns, Breakdown Time, MTBF, MTTR are provided for an on time updating of information in the AMIS
· Prepares monthly report on the status of Repairs & Maintenance of Dressings Plant including.
· Identifies opportunities and leads in the implementation of Kaizen projects related to Low Cost Automation, OEE Improvement, Waste Reduction, Safety and Environment.
· Ensures that engineering solutions to quality & safety issues are identified and implemented in all projects prior to commissioning.
· Provide input in the development of Automation Programs for cost savings and simplification of operation.
· Coordinate the development of Kaizen activities involving 3PM suppliers.
· Ensures training of Technicians on the latest technology. Provide guidance and feedback to develop the full potential skills of the maintenance engineering Team.
· Organize, enable and support Technicians, maintenance personnel and other teammates in achieving the goals of the engineering department.
· Manage and directs engineering contractors in the implementation of maintenance activities.
· Coach and counsel subordinates to ensure delivery department targets

KEY REQUIREMENTS

· College graduate with discipline in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
· Licensed Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer, PME or PEE is a plus
· With at least 3 years of relevant working experience
· Must be willing to be assigned in Paco, Manila
· Must know how to conduct breakdown analysis of machines and process
· Must know how to develop solutions through TPM approach on Loss Tree issues in order to drive performance.
· Must know how to implement solutions to people issues (i.e. motivational, behavior, teamwork and skills).
· Must be knowledgeable on Technical analysis of machine problems and provide guidance in problem solving technique.
· Should be knowledgeable in solving Quality issues related to machines
