JOB POSITION: Channel & Category Development Manager

FUNCTION: Customer Development
REPORTS TO: MD
SCOPE & TERMS: Local
LOCATION: Uganda

Main Purpose of the Job
The Channel & Category Development Manager is responsible for implementing the marketing strategy on all product range to meet the established sales and market share targets. Developing and implementing the activation plan that supports the objectives of our brands and customer. Lead the development and execution of the of brand /category solutions and activities for channels based on fully integrated, shopper, customer and channel insights.

Job Summary
· Build channel/category/shopper specific marketing plans to deliver specific objectives.
· Monitor sales volumes, revenue and cost trends against forecast
· Analyze ROI of the marketing activities executed with the customer, channel and consumer space.
· Develop customer and shopper insights and translate them into business building opportunities within specific customers/channels
· Conduct market research, monitor and analyze product performance, market trends, consumer behavior etc.
· Oversee product development and design

Key Requirements
Critical: Min 2-4 years Brand building experience
Min 2-3 years customer marketing Experience
Essential: Customer Facing experience
· Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying established standards; knowledge base acquired from several years of experience.
· Works independently and ready to coach others.
