Job description

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the company's growth (All channel) in a specific geography. He has to behave like business head of specific AREA. The Area manages is responsible for infrastructure by ensuring distributors are in place and running efficiently, leads a team of 2-3 Asst WL1 Sales Officers/Executives and drives sales and execution metrics. Ensure delivery of the annual business consistent & viable growth.

JOB SUMMARY
Accountabilities
· List in priority order the main accountabilities/deliverables of the role, including key measures. These should be clearly the responsibilities of the JOB HOLDER.
· Achieve annual target
· Achieve channel (GT & MT ) wise growth target
· Weighted and Numeric distribution : Achieve annual target
· Visibility and Forward Share: Achieve annual target as per Perfect Store scorecard.
· Excellence in execution: Achieve KPI's as per launch brief.
· Conceptualize and execute promotional(MM) activity: Achieve KPI's as per defined by ROMI
· Post activity review and learning's collation.
· Manpower efficiency : optimum use FF & 3P with KPI of manpower/sales
· Stock planning & forecast for his AREA
· Ensuring that all distributor teams have all the required tools to succeed in the market.
· Sales brochures and price lists
· Must stock, good to stock and opportunity lists
· Planograms
· Key account promotional activity planners
· Point of Sale material.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
· Business degree.
· Track record of commercial success in a Blue Chip corporate in consumer durable preferably
· Successful experience in a distributor based RTM model, or experience managing distributors.
· Successful experience in dealing with international or local Modern trade retailers.
· Demonstrable analytical and negotiation skills.
· Demonstrable ability to plan and organize complex activities.
· A strong command over oral and written business English & Hindi with an ability to understand and communicate clearly.
· High degree of familiarity and practice with MS office or equivalent IT tools.

Main interactions within & outside organization / External & Internal Environmental Factors –

· G.M.: Reporting of performance versus ABP in all KPI's, weekly and monthly.
· Finance: Trade spend planning.
· Marketing: Brand activity planning and execution.

External
· Achieving objectives by directing, coaching and controlling the activities of the distributor teams.
· Influencing and motivating the distributor teams to achieve agreed objectives.
· Develop JBP's with distributors & MT Key Accounts and Marketing teams and where necessary directly with Key Accounts.
· Assess tools required by distributor teams and ensure availability via optimal sourcing.
· Identifying potential distributor partners in ‘white spot' markets
