The thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions business area is a leading partner for the engineering, construction and service of all industrial plants and systems. In addition to chemical, coke, cement and other industrial plants and refineries, our portfolio also includes mining, ore processing and port handling equipment along with corresponding services. The Business Unit Services is organized into four globally acting business lines: Parts Supply & Management, Field Services & Service Centers, Revamps & Asset Management. These go to market primarily through Service Hubs which are located within the regional organization of tk Industrial Solutions. The Business Unit Service is supported and developed by a single staff function – Global Service - combining a range of key functions, among them the strategy and business development.

Your responsibilities

As Business Development and Market Intelligence Manager you will support the strategy development and be responsible for the market observation and analysis. Moreover, you will be responsible for the development of the existing service business. The role includes the following functions:

·  Conduct research & analysis of macro trends, industry/competitor intelligence etc. to substantiate strategic conclusions
·  Assess growth potential of new/existing businesses for Business Area Industrial Solutions Service and develop business plan
·  Support M&A activities (esp. identification and assessment of potential investments and creation of decision templates)
·  Create a market model to evaluate the current and future service market
·  Support special projects like CRM, daproh, pricing etc.

In these functions you will collaborate closely with Service Operating Units, Regions, Controlling, New Build Units as well as Regional and Portfolio Development.

Your profile

·  The role requires education to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g. engineering, business administration, industrial engineering, service management)
·  3 or more years of professional experience in a similar function
·  Knowledge of one or more of the customer segments of tk IS as well as in-depth knowledge and experience in the field of Market Intelligence and strategic concepts and tools
·  Experience in the field of (industrial) service management
·  Good conceptual and analytical skills to be able to cope with a great variety and diversity of topics
·  Excellent social and communicational skills to be able to work and lead in very different team constellations
·  Fluent English, knowledge of another foreign language is desirable
·  Strong commitment and proactive attitude, goal-orientation and assertiveness
·  Very good knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
·  Intercultural experience and willingness to travel internationally
