To support our team in Vienna, we are looking for a:


Project Manager System Integration (f/m)


Based in Vienna, you will manage, coordinate and monitor the internal teams developing the next generation interlocking product, incorporating state-of-the-art software and system engineering practices within a legacy free framework.
The role also ensures compliance with commitments (including those related to risks and opportunities) to meet technical, schedule and financial targets.

Your tasks will be:

Define, plan and coordinate the work package activities ensuring the project is correctly (human and technical) resourced at all times

Manage the work packages against the defined Scope of Work; actively manage any variance, re-estimating as necessary

Identify and manage schedule/planning risks/issues associated with the solution components deliveries and escalate as appropriate

Support the project change management process with the evaluation and quantification of project change affecting the SOW

Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to ensure cost, schedule and quality is maintained at all times against agreed standards

Conduct regular reporting on progress

Ensure the technical solution is delivered in line with Thales Austria's quality and process management systems

Your profile:

At least 3 years of proven experience leading technical development projects

Experience in integrating software solutions, ideally in the domain of railway or telecom operations

Self – motivated, critical thinker with strong technical background in technical IT or telecommunication engineering

Substantial knowledge of system integration and project management principles and practices.

High degree of technical expertise, problem solving skills, innovation and commitment

Effective personal organization and ability to remain composed and focused under pressure

Good communication and inter-personal skills

Good standard of technical writing skills and first class presentation skills

Very good command of English and German language are a must
