To oversee and support our complex international projects, we are looking for a Hungarian speaking:



Project Manager - Railway Projects CEE (f/m)


Thales Austria provides safety relevant railway signaling and train control solutions based on different Thales and 3rd party products and components. As a key member of our project management team for Turnkey Projects you will be responsible for the timely and cost-effective management of customer projects mainly in the CEE countries, especially in Hungary. Your scope of activities will include project tracking, monitoring and controlling, budget planning, coordination and project planning.


Your tasks will be:

Main interface to the customer, active communication and negotiation with the customer

Management, coordination and motivation of the project team

Project scheduling (WBS structure)

Project documentation

Resources allocation and tracking

Costs/sales/cash tracking

Thorough and continuous risk management, ensuring that all risks and opportunities are properly addressed and mitigated

Coordination and management of subcontractors including intra-group suppliers

Ensure that project reporting is performed and report consolidated results periodically in a matrix organization

Your profile contains:

At least 2 years' experience in managing international, customer-facing IT projects

Completed academic education with strong technical background (preferably university level)

Excellent knowledge of project management tools and methods (PMI, IPMA or similar certification preferred)

Demonstrated success in managing the entire lifecycle of complex, long-term (3-5 years) and customer-facing projects.

Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions under pressure

High level of flexibility and a proactive attitude

Outstanding organizational skills and strong management skills and leadership

Understands the particularities of public-sector projects

Ability to work, communicate and interface effectively in an intercultural environment with customers, partners and employees

An excellent command of English and Hungarian are a must. Knowledge of German is an advantage.
