Alpharetta is the North American headquarters for Solvay Specialty polymers and is one of the three hubs (Princeton, NJ and Houston, TX) for the Solvay Group in North America. It is also the commercial headquarters for the Aromatics business and R&D. Solviva®Biomaterials are manufactured in Alpharetta, and Ketaspire®PEEK is produced on a semi-commercial basis. Job Overview and Responsibilities:

·  Position Reports to Purchasing Operation Manager
·  Supports all buyers of the global purchasing organization on tactical issues by performing analytical work, improve or establish procedures 
·  Creates and maintains database’s and procedures for the entire Global Purchasing group for  Composites 
·  Interprets  data and makes recommendations to Sr. Leadership
·  Provides ongoing analyses in areas such as quality, supply issues, cost,... 
·  Prepares reports and highlight areas for improvement
·  Confers with different parts of the organization ( plants, quality , logistics, ….) to resolve tactical issues and to determine ways to optimize purchasing service levels.
·  Develops business and financial information

Education and Experience:

·  Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar 
·  0-5 years experience analyzing data
·  Must have a high level of critical thinking - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
·  Complex Problem Solving -Must be able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
·  Systems Analysis - Determines how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations and the environment will affect outcomes
·  System Evaluation - identifies measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve correct performance, relative to the goals 
·  Microsoft Office experience - Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint

Skills:

Nice-to-have skills

·  Experience with SAP system particularly with Business Warehouse
·  5-7 years' experience of purchasing
