Responsibilities

Your mission:

Within the Société Générale Group, you will join the Business Solution Center (BSC), which is a shared services center and is part of the Société Générale Group's Resources and Innovation Department.

Your role in a nutshell:

·  Validate accuracy and sufficiency of functional specifications for newly requested tools/components/features;
·  Write code according to functional specifications following a test-driven approach;
·  Ensure accurate functioning of newly developed features through appropriate unit/integration/regression testing;
·  Document your work in a clear and concise manner (technical and user-facing);
·  Offer support on the developed components of the business departments and cross functional teams.

Profile Required

A little about you:

·  You have experience in writing efficient VBA tools having an intuitive interface and a robust error handling;
·  Your code is implementing (and you are an enthusiast promoter of) programming best-practices and techniques, such as KISS, DRY, etc;
·  You're familiar with the software development lifecycle/phases;
·  You're a regular user of code version control tools (GIT or equivalent);
·  You're accustomed to searching for readily available components before writing code to achieve non-business specific tasks;
·  Besides VBA/VBS, you're familiar with at least one or more other programming languages (Python, C#);
·  You have experience with Microsoft Access (and its limitations);
·  You like to understand the purpose and context of your next project as much as possible;
·  You have good communication skills;
·  Your clients know you for your commitment to the deadlines you communicate to them and for the quality of your work;
·  Your friends say your English level is good;
·  You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or another technical field + equivalent experience in computers). We also value:
·  SQL query optimizations, indexes and joins in MS Access are good friends of yours;
·  Some knowledge of French.
