Environment

At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Markets division (MARK) of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. MARK offers a cross-asset approach along all its offerings : Research, Investment & Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Prime Services to asset managers, pension funds, companies, private banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, family offices, sovereign funds and distributors worldwide.

You will be joining the rate derivatives desk in New York that is in charge of market making for client the following products : USD and CAD interest rate swaps, T-locks, G10 FX swaps, Cross-currency swaps, Synthetic financing, Fixed Income ETFs.
The team is composed of 6 experienced traders that will make you discover our activity.

Mission

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:

·  Help the different traders in their daily occupation
·  Maintain and enhance the tools use by the team (pricer, risk analysis tools...)
·  Be the privileged link between the trading desk and the different IT and back office teams
·  Research and develop trading strategies using new mathematical models, enhance the back testing platform and prepare the corresponding documentation

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE inNew Yorkis to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last12months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com .

Desired profile

Profile

Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University, majoring in Finance.

A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.

You are fluent in English.

You are proficient in Office application
