KYC Analyst: Existing Client Management Quality Control

Job description



Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

· 

Performs Quality Control (QC) reviews (four-eye) on KYC files for wholesale banking and institutional broker-dealer clients as part of the ongoing KYC periodic reviews process.

· 

Identifies client-specific documentary and due diligence requirements to complete the QC review.

· 

Adheres to the established QC scoring methodology and applies the accepted file quality passage rate applicable to ECM reviews. Completes files by assigned deadlines.

· 

Verifies specific KYC due diligence tasks performed to complete ECM files, including sanctions and negative news screening, PEP identification, customer risk scoring, and alignment with FinCEN regulatory requirements.

· 

Reviews and creates KYC summary memos for assigned KYC files.

· 

Identify and provide clear feedback to Analyst (2-Eyes) on quality assessment issues

· 

Creates and maintain customer information, documents in bank databases/systems.

· 

Works closely with KYC Analysts, Managers, Front Office, Relationship Managers and Bank Compliance in providing continuous feedback on status of accounts.

· 

Participates in committees and meetings as required related to the ECM function throughout the client lifecycle.

· 

Contribute to firm-wide CLD projects related to integration, systems, data remediation, and adherence to KYC policies and procedures.

· 

Interfaces with Quality Assurance and internal testing functions to ensure that KYC file quality is maintained.

· 

Perform escalations of risk factors to the required compliance teams in line with group policy

· 

Participates in training for new and current joiners.


Profile Required

Technical Skills:

· 
Familiarity with key regulatory legislation, principles of risk-based KYC, client risk assessment and the products used in a wholesale banking and institutional broker dealer business

· 
Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Competencies:

· 

Strong communication skills (written and oral)

· 

Ability to partner effectively with Compliance, business lines and other KYC functions.

· 

Strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure

· 

Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of client reviewsfrom initiation to completion

· 

An inquisitive nature and ability to spot issues, an address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate.

· 

Detail-oriented with strong proof-reading skills.

· 

Excellent problem solving and time management skills.

· 

Ability to work independently and use judgment to assure all issues and concerns are managed properly and timely.

Qualifications:


· 

Four to Six years' experience in the Financial Services industry in a KYC or AML capacity.

Educational Requirements:

· 

Degree caliber candidate with expertise in business or economics related subjects

Desired / Plus:

· 

CAMS, CFE, CFCS

Languages :

· 

(Other than English) French & Spanish a plus
