Your environment

At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Coverage and Investment Banking division (CORI). CORI offers a global advisory approach focused on strategic dialogue with clients. Building on long-term relationships based on trust, CORI offers clients the whole range of services offered by the Group, with a particular focus on investment banking and commercial banking activities.

The Client Credit Group (CCG) within CORI acts as a support for Coverage and the Business Lines.It is an independent intermediary providing credit assessment between Business Lines and the Risk department. Moreover, it monitors SGCIB client portfolio to anticipate changes in the credit profile, proposes appropriate action in terms of exposure deduction and/or modifications in the Obligor rating and is responsible for all aspects of due diligence for the Know Your Customer processes.

Mission

Your role

During your VIE mission you will perform credit analyses for German, Austrian and Swiss CORI clients from all industries (Food/Beverage/Distribution/Tourism, Pharmaceuticals/Chemicals, Steel, Media/Telecoms, Automotive, Transport/Infrastructure/Logistics, Energy/Utilities, Public Sector, Industrials etc.)In addition, you will carry out credit analyses on German subsidiaries of French group.

More precisly, this means:

·  You will perform a complete Corporate Credit Analysis (Business Profile, Counterparty Description, Activity and Operations, Market and Industry Assessment, Peer Group Comparison, Counterparty Strategy, Management, Financial Analysis incl. Cash Flow Projections, Outlook).
·  An appropriate internal Obligor Rating reflecting the counterparty's creditworthiness will be determined by you.
·  You will apply a wide range of financial transactions for all kinds of counterparty credit limits needed for execution.
·  Providing a decision recommendation to the respective decision-makers, as well as swift answers to their questions is another part of your job.
·  You will follow-up on the approval process until final validation, as well as on the evolution of SG's exposure to specific clients, taking into account commercial (profitability) as well as risk considerations.
·  Dealing with potential changes is also part of the job.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Frankfurt am Main is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com .

Your profile
You are graduated with a Master degree from Engineering or Business School or University with a secialization in Finance and/or International Business.
A prevoius practical experience gained through internships in a bank/financial institution would be desirable.
Fluency in German and English (written and orally) is essential; good French language skills would be advantageous.
You shoud have good command of MS Office programs.
