In Germany Société Générale Securities Services has about 250 employees in Munich and Frankfurt. The position is located at Société Générale Securities Services GmbH in Munich within the Risk Management department, which deals with the entity’s operational and business risks.
The Risk Management department is the German winner of the 2018 innovation campaign within Société Générale. This VIE role aims at supporting and rolling out the department’s innovative idea centred around digitalisation.
Your role
During your VIE mission you will:
Plan, manage and drive the innovation project jointly with the Risk Managers
Coordinate the project’s deployment within the organisation, defining and following up on tasks and milestones together with the various project’s stakeholders
Foster collaboration between all departments involved in the project, and especially fellow IT, Asset Management and Client Services colleagues
Report on, discuss and plan project advancement with local Managers, Project Sponsors, Risk Managers as well as Innovation Coordinators in Paris
Keep track of project documentation
In order for you to successfully understand and carry out the digitalisation project, you will be involved into some day-to-day activities relevant for Risk Management. These are mainly centred around (but not limited to) information transfer, review and follow up between in-house and external partners in the event of “due diligence” (risk assessments).
You may also be involved in several other tasks (depending on project advancement and upcoming requirements).
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Munich is to begin as soon as possible but you may plan up to 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your assignment. The assignment will last at least 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, open to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Area.

Your profile
Graduate from a Business School, Engineering School, or University with a Master's Degree, preferably in a Business or Management related field.
You ideally have previous experience in Project Management.
You ideally have previous work experience within the financial industry.
You are able to work independently and show a positive, hands-on attitude.
You possess good communication skills with an ability to convey and work across all hierarchy levels.
You are fluent in English and/or German, a good command of French is an advantage.
You are proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, especially Power Point.
