Introduction

For Siemens Corporate Technoogy, we are looking for Research Scientist of Applied Research for Knowledge Mining & Management at earliest convenient.

What are my responsibilities?

· Research on state-of-the-art technologies related to knowledge management or natural language processing for applications of industrial scale;
· Building innovative computational models & algorithms in one or more of the fields: knowledge management, natural language processing, semantic analysis, reasoning, etc., according to the requirements from different industrial customers;
· Transformation of data science methods and algorithms into integrated, customer-oriented solutions;
· Hands-on evaluation of data analytics solutions and platforms;

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Basic Qualifications

· Master degree or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent;
· Extensive hands-on experience in one or more of the topics: knowledge management, natural language processing, semantic analysis, reasoning, and so on;
· 2+ years research or development experience related to knowledge management or natural language processing including the usage of relevant tools and software packages;
· Good programming skills in Java, python, or C/C++, combined with knowledge of relational databases (SQL), NoSQL databases and rule-based systems;
· Ability to think analytically and rapidly learn complex topics, especially in the field of analysis, evaluation and handling of structured and unstructured data;
· Self-motivated, good communication skills and good team player;

Preferred Qualifications

· Doctorate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent;
· Good knowledge in one the listed areas: reasoning, natural language processing, deep learning, semantic web, knowledge representation, knowledge graph;
· Development of innovative technologies, algorithms and applications from an idea to the realization of large-scale software systems;
· Publications in relevant journals and conferences;
· Excellent presentation skills;
· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment;

Language

· Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing);
