Introduction

For our Corporate Technology (CT) in Beijing, Siemens is looking for a lead research scientist / research scientist of analog and digital circuit design at earliest opportunity.

What are my responsibilities?

You will work in a startup-like environment in the Software Defined Inverter (SDI) technology field of CT REE. The SDI technology field is dedicated to research and development on tomorrow’s power converters using the most advanced technologies especially regarding semiconductors, control and software approaches mainly for PCB-based designs.

Your responsibilities will include:

· To simulate, proactively modify and choose electronic circuits for the respective application;
· To design the required analog circuitry;
· To ensure the correct hardware and control implementation in cooperation with the PCB and control designers;
· To do PCB layouts for your circuits;
· To take into operation and test the circuits, also regarding EMC;
· To follow the applicable standards, e.g. for creepage, distances, etc.;

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Your qualification should include:

· Master degree or above, major in a related knowledge domain;
· Fluency in English;
· Above 2 years of experience in:
· measurement circuit simulation and design;
· digital circuit design;
· Lab experience;

Qualifications that would be beneficial:

· Programming skills (e.g. Matlab, Python, etc.);
· Experience with power electronics;
· Experience in a research environment;
· German language skills;
