The Digital Factory (DF) Division offers a comprehensive portfolio of seamlessly integrated hardware, software and technology-based services in order to support manufacturing companies worldwide in enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of their manufacturing processes and reducing the time to market of their products.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

• You drive pragmatic approaches to solving key business problems through utilizing Machine Learning, predictive modeling, signal processing, segmentation, optimization, and other advanced techniques

• You design, implement and deploy robust data-driven algorithms on massive parallel processing frameworks (e.g. Hadoop) resulting in scalable data-driven service products

• You combine classical signal processing techniques with novel methodologies from Machine Learning to conceptualize and implement novel solutions for e.g. anomaly detection-, failure classification- and prediction maintenance

• You run Data Science projects in a highly motivated team

• You guide workshops and dialogues with domain experts and product management to identify innovative applications for data analytics within fields of mechanical-, electrical- and control engineering

• You are a contact person within your department for all issues corresponding to Data Analytics

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate

• You have a University degree or PhD degree in computer science, signal processing, mathematics, physics, or engineering sciences (thesis in the field of Machine Learning is a plus)

• You havean extensivebackground in Data Science, Machine Learning and Statistics

• You have an extensive background in Digital Signal Processing, image processing and Time Series Analysis

• You have experience with one or more modern analytical frameworks, libraries and analytical development frameworks as well as solid programming skills, e.g. in KNIME, Python, R, Matlab (Java is a plus) combined with knowledge of scientific libraries e.g. KNIME, R, Anaconda, Tensorflow, Scikit-Learn, Matlab

• You have experience with massive parallel processing (Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, etc.) and stream analytics (Storm, Spark Streaming) as well as relational databases is appreciated

• You have communicational skills of Data Analytics topics to non-specialists of that domain

• You are at an advanced level in speaking and writing skills in English, German is a plus
