Job Description:

Position Overview

As a Compressor/Gas Engine Drafter you produce detail 3D models and manufacturing drawings of Compressor/Gas Engine design components, such as structural steel, castings, cylinders, pistons, piston rods, crankshafts, compressor frames and valves.

·  Using compressor and gas engine design guides, develop designs within 3D modeling software (CAD, etc.) for manufacturing.
·  Utilize industry standards to ensure designs are followed.
·  Take direction from a lead compressor/gas engine drafter and the design supervisor.

Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified Applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

Responsibilities

·  Produce assembly and sub-assembly drawings and related bills of material.
·  Produce fabrication and weldment drawings and bills of material.
·  Produce machining drawings and bills of material.
·  Produce layouts, general arrangements, and related bills of material.
·  Determine size, views, sections, scale, and placement of dimensions to produce professional, clear and easy to understand manufacturing and customer drawings.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

·  Associates degree in drafting
·  Up to 2 years of experience with 3D modeling (CAD, NX, etc.)
·  Familiar with mechanical design concepts.
·  Limited travel (5%) -Domestic

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Education/Experience

·  3years of experience in 3D modeling preferred
