TheGlobal Center of Competence Citiesis based at the Crystal and enables city experts and high-tech engineers to work together side by side.

TheAccount Management Officeensures the implementation of Siemens' strategy towards cities to deliver the systematic exploitation of the urban infrastructure market.

Role Description

To support the Account Management Office team with desk-based research and support ongoing engagement activities including workshops, special events and conferences.We are looking for someone with a background in sales/account management, city planning, urban design and/or city management. The internships are paid, and will run for 12 months starting June/July 2019.

·Desk based research for specific urban related projects

·Production of presentations

·Production of reports

·Data analysis

·Administrative support for the team

Specific Skills

The key areas of responsibility for this internship will include:

·Background in sales/account management, urban planning, design and/or policy

·Knowledge of urban global initiatives and organizations

·Interest in new urban initiatives

The Candidate

·Degree

You must be studying towards a degree in any discipline with a passion for business, urban planning and geography.

·Research

Desk based research, support on-going city engagements and initiatives.

·Communication

Fluent English, verbal and in writing, is a requirement and additional languages helpful.

·Planning/Objective setting and Meeting Deadlines

As deadlines are set it is critical to deliver on promises and be realistic about timescales agreed.

·Initiative and Drive

In a small group, the ability to self-motivate and work without constant supervision is important.

·Team working

The ability to be able to work within a team is important to this role.

·IT Knowledge

Experience of MS Outlook, Word, Excel and especially PowerPoint is required. Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage.
