Are you our next Supply Quality Engineer? Based out of our Flint site, Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our well-established team as a Supply Quality Engineer.

Your Mission:

You will report into our Engineering and Quality Manager and you will have responsibility for our factory supply quality and quality systems.

Your Responsibilities:

Supply Quality Engineer

Pilot Supply Qualification Module (SQM) and the Supplier Performance Module (SPM) at the level of the plant.

Pilot the containment, corrective and preventives actions to solve the technical part quality issues of the plant using the 8D methodology.

Address gaps and non compliance to the suppliers, and check the effectiveness of the supplier actions

Pilot the qualification of the part through the Part Product Evaluation Plan (PPEP) within the Product Evolution Process (ACCESS, ROHS, etc.) and participate actively to the PPEP with Product Management Process (PMP) specifically during the responsibility transfer milestone

Manage the incoming inspection policy and optimise it

Monitor supplier quality performance at the plant level and reports it

Lead suppliers process audits and build annual audit plan

Follow-up the critical parts list and related supplier status

Lead the End to End PPEP flow

Participate to the Supplier Approval Module (SAM) process

Lead SAM Audits when possible and follow the SAM supplier status to assure improvement the plant supplier panel

Quality System Engineer

Responsible for the overall quality management system within the entity

Build, maintain and improve the quality management system within the entity

Implement the quality policy in collaboration with the plant manager and management team

Ensure compliance of the QMS (Quality Management System) : prepare, validate and implement the audit plan within the entity & lead the resulting actions

Lead the IMS (Integrated Management System) network of the site to guarantee the compliance with the standard

Plan, lead and/or conduct internal audits

Ensures an effective pool of internal auditors

Lead the management review and follow up improvement plan execution

Update and improve the quality manual and process mapping in accordance with customer expectations and entity evolutions

Animate and Challenge Process owners

Empower process owners, ensuring processes are described, animated, measured (KPIs), reviewed and improved through process reviews and management reviews. Make sure the system is used as a driver for efficiency and effectiveness.

Challenge process owners to identify and manage risks in a preventive mode.

Ensure process owners are leading the appropriate systemic action plans by providing support and expertise in process management

Obtain and maintain the external certifications

Ensure to obtain and maintain the ISO 9001 certification of the entity

About you:

previous Supply Quality and Quality System experience

experience using Quality tools such as 8D methodology

experience with SAP ERP system

ability to gather incoming inspection process

able to manage audit on suppliers

able to approve new suppliers for new projects
