  Job facts

Who we are:

At Roche, 94,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare. Working together, we've become one of the world's leading research-focused healthcare groups. Our success is built on innovation, curiosity and diversity, and on seeing each other's differences as an advantage. To innovate healthcare, Roche has ambitious plans to keep learning and growing – and is seeking people who have the same goals for themselves.

The Position:

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leader where you can truly make your mark. Our engineering team plays an integral role in the provision of after sales service and support to our existing and new customer base, which primarily consists of diagnostic and research laboratories.

You will integrate within this experienced Engineering team and be responsible for repairing, servicing and installing our laboratory analysers by way of telephone troubleshooting, on site support and being part of a rotating on-call roster. While you will be primarily responsible for servicing our South Australian customer base, frequent travel both intra and interstate will be required at a short notice. The position is based in Adelaide.

Who you are:

You're someone who wants to influence your own development. You're looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies, and where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.

Ideally you will be an experienced Service Engineer within the medical diagnostics industry. Direct experience supporting Clinical Chemistry, Immunoassay, Haematology, Molecular and/or Tissue Diagnostics systems will be highly regarded.

You will hold a tertiary or post-trade qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline, possess excellent technical and troubleshooting skills in the area of electromechanical, fluidic and computer controlled equipment. Persistence in troubleshooting instrument problems is the key to be successful in this position.

Superior customer service is pivotal to the success of Roche, therefore we expect our new team member to be customer focused, self motivated and enjoy working and sharing ideas in a team environment. Excellent communication skills and a valid driver's license are essential.
