PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES 

As the market leader in enterprise application software, SAP is at the center of today’s business and technology revolution. Our design team creates and shapes the experiences, which pave the way for new and potentially revolutionary IT solutions in a startup-like environment at the Innovation Center.

We are looking for you – an outstanding Interaction Designer – who likes to work in a buzzing hub of international and very motivated folks with diverse professional backgrounds. Low hierarchies and direct project responsibilities enable you to design with impact. Flexible working times, special offerings (like fitness courses, a bouldering wall, beach volleyball court, a decent espresso machine) and last but not least our marvelous location next to Jungfernsee make working at SAP Innovation Center fun.

Location for this position is our lakeside campus in Potsdam, with a shuttle for SAP employees running from Berlin to Potsdam every day.

Desired profile

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As part of the SAP Innovation Center Network design team, you will sketch and design top-notch user interfaces that empower businesses. You will work on software projects in totally different domains to grow the next new markets and technologies for SAP – from personalized enterprise to big data in the music industry. To turn ideas and user needs into digital experiences, you will effectively collaborate with developers, other designers and customers.

·  Ideate, design, and iteratively improve the user experience for new business products
·  Translate research insights into adequate user experience prototypes
·  Craft user journeys, systems, interaction models, screens designs and the fine grained details of user interactions
·  Actively drive the design work in small project teams and own the success or failure of your design work

 

YOUR SKILLS

You do not have to be a grand master Jedi of design, nevertheless you should bring initial product design experience. Communication skills and team player qualities are equally important.

 

Required

·  Degree in Design, Human Factors, or a related field (or an equivalent professional experience)
·  Proven track record and a passion of designing compelling digital products and services and ability to prototype what you design
·  Self-starter and team player who is great at collaboration
·  Solid intuition and understanding of design process, design methods and design principles
·  Excellent communicator of design work and your rationale behind proposals to internal stakeholders and customers
·  One of your most prominent character traits is curiosity
·  Strong written and verbal communications skills in English

Preferred

·  Enterprise software design experience
·  Understanding of front-end languages like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
·  Strong written and verbal communications skills in German

 

WORK EXPERIENCE
