PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Our SAP S/4 Master Data Management development team is a strategic development entity within SAP, developing products for our Enterprise Information Management (EIM) solutions, combining software engineering excellence with thought leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. Across multiple locations and by building on strong teams, we implement state-of-the-art master data solutions in close collaboration with customers and partners in industry as well as with other SAP units.

 

SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)  provides central ownership of master data in line with a company’s business rules and business processes. MDG delivers domain-specific, out-of-the-box applications as well as a framework for custom-defined master data. MDG offers change request-based processing of master data with an integrated workflow including staging, approval, activation, and distribution to all systems. Within SAP MDG, you can combine consolidation and central governance to support various master data management scenarios, such as initial load of master data as a starting point for central governance, consolidation of master data after mergers and acquisitions, and also combinations of both scenarios, where you retain de-central ownership of master data in some parts of the company while centralizing master data ownership in other parts.

Desired profile

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

 

As a member of the S/4 Master Data Management development unit, you will be working as Quality associate within highly motivated and empowered scrum teams following the Lean Development Model. In your daily work, you will have the chance to develop in various directions, such as in business knowledge and technology as well as communication and cross-topic responsibility.

As a team player you take over responsibility for quality assurance as your familiar field of activity, taking into account the cloud mindset.

You will support various scrum teams and carry out end-to-end quality activities, like:

·  Collaboration with product owners and developers to understand user point of view and requirements for testing
·  Contribute to design and implementation of new functional tests based on latest tools and frameworks
·  Assure high quality via ongoing automated and manual tests
·  Learning new technologies and implementing prototypes
·  Configure development and test landscapes using Config. Guides
·  Test case creation, testing and reporting of incidents

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

·  University degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a related field

Required skills

·  Proven programming skills and experience in implementing automated tests
·  Excellent German and English language skills - written and verbal
·  Experience with Agile and Scrum Methodology
·  Knowledge and hands-on experience in object-oriented programming and in design patterns
·  Ability to independently identify and solve problems at hand
·  Strong analytical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
·  Interest in learning new technologies and in personal growth
·  High ambition, drive for and focus on results and execution
·  Customer-oriented work attitude
·  Intercultural awareness

 
Preferred skills:

·  Working knowledge in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
·  Background in using master data objects in standard business processes
