PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SAP Innovation Center Network is a strategic innovation entity within SAP. In nine locations around the globe, it combines the best of two worlds: the creativity and agility of startups with the backbone of a world market leader in business software. The Innovation Center Network is driven by the collaboration of more than 450 engineers, designers, product experts, and business developers.

　

Machine Learning enables computers to learn from large amounts of data without being explicitly programmed. The world's most relevant enterprise data is part of SAP's system and business network. SAP aspires to make all its enterprise solutions intelligent and help customers to leverage their data. As an  Working student (f/m): Research Engineer you will work with a team of experienced researchers and data scientists taking on challenges posed by the SAP customers and product units and providing smart services across and beyond the SAP portfolio. You will have the chance to work with the richest data sets available in the world addressing real-world problems.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

·  Implement and experiment with state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to support different industries in the SAP ecosystem
·  Assist to ideate, create, and iteratively improve machine learning algorithms
·  Clearly communicate findings and solutions to a variety of internal audiences
·  Create presentations for key meetings

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

·  Student (f/m) at an university or university of applied sciences with preferred field(s) of study: Computer Science, Statistics (with strong CS background)
·  Computer skills: C++, Python, database systems (SQL/noSQL), familiarity with statistical analysis, basic understanding of machine learning techniques, shell programming
·  Language skills: Fluent English
·  Soft skills: Willingness to learn, strong teamwork skills, presentation skills, interest in working within a heterogeneous team of developer and designers.
·  Others: Determined to reach a goal in time, ability to work independently and to prioritize, pleasure in dealing with people, innovative and open-minded
