PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
As Full Stack Developer, you will be expected to create micro-service driven interfaces and applications around our data science services with a strong emphasis on data insights and visualization. You will be tasked to provide tooling to interact, query and visualize large-scale data sets as well as bringing them together with a rich set of internal and external APIs. You will be enabling the work of our data science team by turning their findings in to customers facing applications, internal and external customers alike.

You work in close collaboration with the technical and corporate development units and with your rich expertise in tooling, you continuously identify opportunities for optimized solutions.

 

·  You are a self-starter, goal-oriented, striving for perfection – developer with the ability to work with back-and engineers and data scientists alike.
·  Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with both front- and back-end development.
·  You deliver and manage solutions. It is your job to turn a data insight into a stable and high-performing application that is beautiful and easy to interact with.
·  Strong learner bringing back the findings of a project to develop re-useable components as future features of your platform.
·  You drive results: Create an environment that encourages technical, customer focused innovation at a high-pace. Actively engaging hands-on in both development and client situations.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

·  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent subject.
·  Proven experience with at least one JavaScript framework such as Angular, React, or Node, etc.
·  Experience with database systems (Postgres, MySQL, Mongo DB, etc.) and cloud-based storage solutions (e.g. AWS S3).
·  Familiarity with container technology like Docker and a firm grasp of API design, preferably REST.
·  Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
·  Strong visualization capabilities and a keen eye for outstanding design.
·  Well versed with JavaScript data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, etc.).
·  Knowledge of agile software development process and experience with development processes driven by regular code reviews.
·  Show passion on the job: act as a role model for the team, show authentic behavior, pride and enthusiasm for your work, demonstrate best practices and encourage your team members to share own experiences.
·  Good communication and relationship building skills with a strong intercultural sensitivity.
·  Good command of German and English (verbal and written).

 

Preferred skills

·  Hands on experience with Data Science and Machine Learning projects.
·  Experience in B2B/B2C environments or with business network products.
·  Having successfully worked with virtual / cross-border teams.
·  Experience with SAP Cloud products.
·  A track-record for creating engaging UX experiences.
·  Industry expertise, preferably in Travel, Professional Services, Manufacturing or Consumer Goods.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

·  3-5 years of working experience in in different enterprise departments.
