EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

 

Are you a virtuoso in C++ programming? Do you love to write mission-critical code for core functionality? Do you want to work with SAP HANA?
As an (Associate) Developer in our team you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues. Our core backend components are implemented in C++ and delivered as an extension of SAP HANA. We follow the agile software development principles and believe in short and incremental development cycles. Our infrastructure follows the continuous integration principle and we are using state-of-the-art technologies such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins and JIRA.
On a usual day you will...

·  implement new functionality in our core components
·  write unit tests as well as integration tests for our component
·  analyze and fix customer issues

In addition to that you will...

·  work in cooperation with core developers to provide new high quality code as fast as possible
·  discuss new business requirements with our frontend and UX developers to find applicable solutions for our customers

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

We require that you meet the core competencies and skills listed below:

Required skills

·  Strong C++ programming skills
·  University degree in computer science or related technical discipline
·  Extensive knowledge of software design and software architecture
·  Analytical skills to drive root cause analysis for complex problems
·  Very good German and English, both spoken and written

Preferred skills

·  Advanced skills and experience with Linux or different Unix derivate
·  Experience with Git, Gerrit, CMake, Gtests
·  Programming skills in Python
·  Knowledge of code-analysis tools e.g. Valgrind, Intel Amplifier, Cppchecker
·  Experience in relational database management systems

WORK EXPERIENCE

 

The position is open for new talents as well as young professionals. However, prior experience as a developer would be beneficial.
