EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

 

Are you a virtuoso in web programming? Do you love to develop web applications and know HTML5, JavaScript and CSS like the back of your hand?

 

As (Associate) Developer in our team, you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues. Our development process follows the principle of continuous integration, and we use the latest tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins and JIRA with custom-tailored extensions in conjunction with in-house developed software. In our team you will develop and improve our cloud analytics platform, SAP Business Objects Cloud, as well as cooperate with user interface designers and sales colleagues to deliver the best user experience for our customers. 

 

On a usual day you will...

 

·  develop and improve SAP Business Objects Cloud using JavaScript and SAP UI5 on top of our cutting edge technology, SAP HANA.
·  write unit tests for your code and define end-to-end tests for the application.

 

In addition to that you will...

 

·  work closely with our designers to provide our customers with fresh, friendly, and elegantly simple user experiences no matter their function or role within the application.
·  engage with our sales team and customers to better understand the needs and workflows of the end users, and collaborate on concepts for new functionality.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

Required skills

 

·  University degree in computer science or related technical discipline
·  Very good German and English, both spoken and written
·  Good programming skills in HTML5, JavaScript and CSS
·  Good knowledge of software design and software architecture

 

Preferred skills

 

·  Experience with databases and SQL 
·  Experience in working with SAP products such as SAP HANA, XS Engine, HCP
·  Extended programming skills in Perl, Java or C++

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

 

·  We encourage young professionals and recent university graduates to apply for this position. Of course, some development-related work experience would be beneficial.
