PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

 

Line of Business Finance is responsible to fulfill SAP’s simplification story by SAP S/4HANA in the cloud and on premise. This next-generation set of solutions is based on a simplified and renewed Financials technology stack that leverages the full potential of the SAP HANA platform. LoB Finance consists of a global development organization with teams in Walldorf, Potsdam, Shanghai and Palo Alto that work in close collaboration with customers and partners to support superior finance processes and new business models.

As (Associate) Developer in our team, you will be working with a group of highly motivated colleagues. Leveraging the foundation of the new HANA based Finance architecture, you will work on frontrunner applications with unprecedented insights and simulation capabilities in Finance.

Within our teams, we practice an agile and customer-oriented development approach. High customer orientation and focus on providing value to our clients is the main guiding principle for all development activities.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

 

Joining our scrum team, you will

·  Work in a cross-functional team on designing, implementing, testing and maintaining software for a new set of Accounting simulation and prediction applications
·  Acquire expertise in the functional domain of Accounting in a highly self-motivated, agile and reliable manner, demonstrating passion for delivering first-class applications
·  Leverage the power of new technologies in the area of automation, machine learning, modelling and simulation
·  Share knowledge and close collaboration with other team members, esp. the product owner, and affiliated teams within and beyond LoB Finance
·  Engage in and support of continuous improvement activities

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

 

Required skills:

·  Good Bachelor’s  or Master’s degree in (business) informatics, natural sciences, or in a comparable technical discipline
·  Strong software development/ programming skills
·  Knowledge of software design and software architecture
·  Ability to learn quickly and to dive into new complex topics
·  Motivated, committed, and strong self-initiative
·  Strong oral and written communication skills both in German and in English

 

Preferred skills:

·  Knowledge in SAP S/4HANA Finance is a plus
·  Knowledge of financial and logistics processes would be beneficial

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

 

·  At least one year, preferably in professional software development
