iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

We are looking for a candidate for a VIE mission of:
Market Access Strategy Trainee
- VIE Contract (W/M)
The VIE will support the Global Rare Disease Value & Access team explore the market access landscape and financing mechanisms that may be considered for curative gene therapies across the US and major EU5 markets. This work is needed to support both internal and external gene therapy opportunities to better understand the value of such programs, as well as payer challenges, especially in France, Germany & the US.
In 2019, we will also further explore the possibility of indication-specific pricing in Europe, as this has not been possible historically, but is starting to crop up in a few European markets.
The VIE will assist in gathering and analyzing the background/landscape information to support this work as well as applying the learnings to optimize development of market access strategies across the rare disease pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in identifying market access risks and opportunities for Genzyme rare disease pipeline & portfolio in Pompe, Gaucher, endocrinology
- Monitoring markets to build/update analog fact base and case studies in gene therapy
- Analyzing ongoing market access developments (key focus on financing of durable therapies, indication-specific pricing, and market access policies for rare diseases) and incorporating findings into market access strategies for Sanofi Genzyme portfolio & pipeline
- Reviewing and synthesizing Health Technology Assessment (HTA) decisions of relevant rare disease analogues, particularly for key EU markets, and applying learnings to market access strategy for value message development
- Assisting on an ad-hoc basis with strategic market access projects and presentations
Requirements:
- Pharm Degree, Master Degree in Public Health or related field
- Deep familiarity with pricing & reimbursement processes in at least one key European market (i.e. EU5); knowledge of market access specifics for rare disease and gene therapy a plus
- Strong knowledge of rare disease therapeutic areas preferred
- Quick learner with ability to analyze large amounts of information and extract and communicate key relevant findings
