Job Description

•Accountable for overall management, development and coaching of Clinical Trial Managers (CTMs)
•Accountable for the hiring, on-boarding, training and mentoring of new staff
•Manage CTM headcount forecasts in collaboration with the Head of Trial Monitoring
•Allocate resources across programs in collaboration with GCOLs to ensure most efficient resource utilization in support of trial deliverables
•Establish annual objectives according to business priorities and individual development needs
•Provide guidance, mentoring, and assistance in daily operational activities, resolving trial issues and setting workload priorities
•Identify individual training needs to foster high levels of performance, support career development through quality development plans and proactively manage performance issues
•Identify process improvements and best practices, and provide input to process standards and tools to achieve excellence in trial operations
•Perform skill-gap analysis and provide input/develop specific training programs for CTMs in collaboration with Head of Trial Monitoring and Head Operation Excellence/Training
•Perform operational tasks of CTM to support trials/programs as assigned

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in life science/healthcare required, Master’s Degree preferred
•3-5 years of pharmaceutical clinical research experience required
•At least 3 years people management and development experience preferred, this may include management in a matrix environment
•Strong management, interpersonal and problem solving skills
•Significant experience in working in cross-functional teams
•Extensive knowledge of clinical development process, regulatory requirements and GCP
•Proven capabilities in clinical operations process improvements
