BPA acts as a Business Partner, providing insightful and value-added analysis and decision primarily to Head of Finance (CFO). Next to supporting the Head of Finance, BPA is also responsible to deliver business analysis support to Country Head and Business Unit (BU) Head in overall business decision making. Maintain close alignment & interaction with Regional and Divisional Finance team; to be responsible for running core management reporting and financial planning & all financial operation processes. Ensure effective and timely delivery of insightful, recurring or ad-hoc financial information, and pro-active cross-functional liaison with NBS (Novartis Business Service), NTO, BU and commercial teams. The BPA will support CFO in strategic decision making by managing part of strategic flows and providing correct and timely data, to give analytical support to projects’ and market’s business planning and financial outlook. BPA will critically support the realization of Strat Plan, LO, LF1/LF2, Annual Target cycle, Business Reviews and all finance/business relevant projects.

Financial Reporting & Analysis • Provides management with accurate, relevant business analysis to support monthly operational reviews and ad-hoc requests on revenues, cost centers, customers, product and sales channels by area and shared service cost allocations. • Full ownership on Chargebacks accruals, various financial provisions, costs control (COGS & TFC), Management Cash Flow (MCF), Balance Sheet (BS) and Profit & Loss (P&L) statement.   • Performs financial analysis to evaluate risks or opportunities; makes recommendations to mitigate these risks. • Perform the monthly BPA closing procedure together with NBS FSC • Prepare the management reporting packages & ad-hoc reporting in timely basis. • Analyzes investments (e.g.: CAR, Brand P&L) and profitability to provide resource allocation recommendations. • Continually improves and streamlines management reporting processes and systems to meet the changing demands of the business. • Fully support Head of Finance in various financial and management business analysis & finance work stream requirements Financial Control & Planning • Drives the annual budgeting (TGT), latest forecast (LF1/LF2), latest outlook (LO) and strategic planning (SP) processes. • Drives and improves business case proposals and profitability tracking. • Develops and strengthens the BPA function in forward looking analytics • Ensures integrity of data provided by commercial teams, and provides value added; provides recommendations on forecast accuracy improvement. Business Partnering • Ensures pro-active Business Partnering with BU Head, Marketing, Sales, Portfolio Development, Supply Chain/Logistics team, various NBS functions, NTO site and other functions. Supports implementation of smooth processes to support on time and accurate information gathering. • Ensures on-going business performance is appropriately monitored and measured, and drives early warning for re-direction of resources with Business Partners, in close alignment with Head of Finance • Drives communication with country finance peers and other BPA team • Drives BPA sub-project work streams to define improvement initiatives and implement lean & efficient processes. Strategic Planning • Responsible in the realization of Strategic Planning work stream, in close alignment with commercial, portfolio development and various other departments to ensure a timely, thorough and good quality of Strategic Plan is delivered. • Process external market data and information respect

Minimum requirements

Bachelor/Master in Business Administration, Financial Management or Economics Degree English Fluently, Dutch is a plus 2-3 years/5-6 years (2-3 Jr/5-6 Sr) experience in Business Planning and Analysis in a multinational company or medium to large corporation
