Job Summary

Job purpose

This position will be responsible for leading and supporting the compliance program within the Global Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit, including Global Biopharmaceutical Clinical Operations, as well as supporting the Global Medical department, within Sandoz.

The Compliance Officer will serve as a key business partner and compliance advisor and will drive the implementation of the Sandoz Compliance Program within the Global Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit, including all related policies and governance frameworks for Code of Conduct (CoC), Anti-Bribery (AB), Conflict of Interest (COI) and Professional Practices Policies (GP3) and Guidelines.

The Compliance Officer will report to both the Head of Global Compliance (operational) and the Global Head Biopharmaceuticals (-functional), and will serve on, and actively contribute to, both the Biopharmaceuticals and Global Compliance leadership teams

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate and partner closely with business leadership to provide compliance advice and oversight in manner that drives the business forward to best serve patients
2. Support the implementation of Global Compliance Policies and Guidelines, and provide guidance on SOPs and processes development, as applicable.
3. Collaborate closely with Regional and Local compliance officers to ensure business activities are in line with local requirements
4. Conduct communication and training
5. Conduct monitoring activities

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

The ideal candidate will have

• University Degree
• Fluent English
• Significant number of years experience working as a Compliance Officer in pharmaceutical industry, either at a local or regional level
• Good knowledge of specialty/biotech pharma business, as well as understanding of medical affairs and clinical
• Experience in Western European or US markets
• Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations and industry codes
• Knowledge of compliance programs and standards
