Department Description:

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Product Marketing team works across technology, product, sales, and marketing to position and promote the #1 Marketing Cloud in the industry. We are looking for someone to help ensure that our positioning and content for Financial Services OR Healthcare & LifeSciences customers is represented accurately across go-to-market activities, events, websites, pitch decks, and all enablement. A big part of the job will include serving as the “subject matter expert” for how marketers in the Financial Services OR Healthcare Life Sciences industries can take advantage of the Marketing Cloud and how we support their unique needs and use cases. Their expertise will be applied to creating content that conveys our vision and strategy for the industry, understanding market needs and trends, and collaborating with sales to deliver innovative marketing programs to grow industry mind share and bookings.

Role Description:

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud team is looking for a product marketer who has in-depth knowledge of DMP & Advertising Products customers and is dynamic, creative, and has great interpersonal skills to help differentiate and grow our business. This individual will help us deliver compelling and differentiated messages, position us effectively vs. the competition and help us hit it out of the park with our business goals.

Position Responsibilities:

·  Align with the Marketing Cloud industry specific account teams to drive strategy, content and in market programs.
·  Collaborate with Product Management to create/deliver product use cases that resonate with marketers in the specified industry.
·  Be the expert marketing in given industry (DMP & Advertising Products) for executive briefings with customers
·  Work closely with the Analyst and Press Relations teams to ensure effective thought leadership and ongoing relevancy in the market to drive demand generation and pipeline
·  Communicate effectively and often to ensure all stakeholders are aligned
·  Comfortable presenting our narrative and roadmap for specific industry to executives as well as large audiences (up to 1000) at public events
·  Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop content, enablement messaging, plays, and GTM programs that help drive pipeline, find new buyers, and cross-sell into existing accounts
·  Work closely with cross-functional marketing teams to drive the business & product marketing strategy, then track, measure, and report against objectives
·  Create compelling, comprehensive, and easy-to-understand assets, competitive positioning, FAQs, and cheat sheets to enable the sales team and speak to the unique nature of the industry.

Basic Requirements:

·  3- 5 years experience in product marketing for a high tech company (enterprise software experience preferred)
·  10+ years of experience within Marketing, Product Marketing or similar experience
·  Demonstrated knowledge of the specific industry (DMP & Advertising Product) and other sectors
·  Proven ability in launching and growing innovative products
·  Dynamic, confident personality with the ability to successfully define and drive project execution with minimal guidance amidst multiple priorities and goals
·  Experience working with direct distribution (sales) teams and channel partners
·  Hands-on ability to create a range of marketing assets, including viral on-message product demo videos and succinct slide pitch-decks
·  Creative thinker that can generate innovative marketing ideas and lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders to drive execution
·  Strong skills in communication, writing, and ability to work well cross-functionally
·  Exceptional team player with proven ability to lead through influence
·  Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively
·  A sense of humor, tenacity, and grace under pressure

Desired Skills and Experience:

·  Marketing and Advertising industry knowledge a plus
·  Ability to deliver results in global, matrixed environments comprised of internal and external stakeholders
·  Ability to travel domestically and internationally ~35% of the time
