Job description

As a purchaser, you will be responsible for buying products that are essential for our company's day-to-day operation. You will be in charge with researching and evaluating suppliers based on different criterias: price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, supplier's reputation and history. You will purchase requisitions for goods & services, prepare and solicit request for quotations as well as creating and maintaining good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES:

•Purchase the defined quality at the lowest possible price
•Analyse price proposals and prepare purchase orders
•Assist our internal customers to have a clear specification sheet
•Follow-up Key Performance Indicators
•Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of delays or problems trace shipments and follow up undelivered goods
•Confer with colleagues and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services or internal customer complaints and determine corrective action using Turbo+
•Maintain and review records of purchased items, costs, delivery, quality via status lists
•Arrange the payment of duty and freight charges
•Apply correctly the Purchase process (& procedures)
•Know and apply the list of selected/agreed suppliers
•Record purchasing decisions (ex: supplier selection committee)
•For non-production, be responsible of the good application of SAFRAN non-production procedure

Candidate skills & requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

•Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of all purchasing processes and requirements, preferably in aviation
•Fluency in the English language required, German and French language skills would be a plus
•Flexibility and adaptability to amended situations
•Stress resistant, knows to prioritize
•Strong communication, empowerment, motivation & team building skills
