You will play a key role in assisting programme/Project Managers to prepare project plans and associated reports (milestones, critical path analysis) and assist the Programme Managers in the development of the integrated mater programme plan.
Responsibilities will include supporting the programme, performing administrative tasks, completing spreadsheets, generation status reports, monitoring KPI's, creating project plans and driving the project to achieve milestones and deliveries on time.
Work closely with R&T plan owners and external suppliers/partners to maintain detailed programme plans.
Assist the R&T plan owners to lead regular reviews with project teams and suppliers/partners in order to obtain status update, monitor/record progress, identify trends, risks and issues for the plan, including critical path elements / milestones.
Assist in development of schedule mitigation and recovery plans to ensure timely delivery of the schedule.

Assist R&T plan owners to update baseline data ensuring planning changes are authorised, documented and recorded.
Assist in production of Management Information Plans/Forecasts, ensuring sufficient frequency, accuracy and insight to facilitate management decision-making and meet stakeholders' needs.
Liaise with sourcing to track procured items and feed into plans.
Develop/maintain an auditable cost capture process for R&T projects.
Facilitate risk management process for R&T programmes.
Provide support to R&T UK programmes team for each programme, collating/managing Actions, Risks, Issues/Dependencies (ARID) logs, collating data, assist in preparing project Reviews and documentation plus any adjoc requests from the R&T UK Programmes team.
Maintain R&T programmes infrastructure
Assist in documenting, embedding and maintaining standards & guidelines and programme management and R& T policies /procedures to provide effective resource /capacity planning, scheduling, estimating, costing & risk assessment for the programme.
Monitor / track progression of actions to closure.
Maintain a repository for lessons learned for customer led multi-partner programmes.

Candidate skills & requirements

Efficient using MS Project /MS Excel ;
Competent in PDM software /MS Office Tools;
Technical background to understand engineering activities;
Ability to work in a fast-paced, transverse project environment;
Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and written;
A willingness to undertake PM+ project management methodology training
Understanding of change management, processes and requests
Effective communicator as well as a good team player.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Some experience in Aerospace manufacturing
Knowledge of PROMPT
Experience of ITAR controlled documents
Experience in a design office environment
