Job Description

Position Purpose     

 As part of the policy and objectives defined by the Manufacturing Performance Group organization, you are responsible for setting the plant’s performance improvement plan (MasterPlan) and to ensure its implementation to achieve its expected results:

As such you ensure:

·  The implementation of existing Group tools and methodologies to meet the objectives of the performance plan in a sustainable way.
·  The breakdown and cascading of the objectives.
·  Reporting of the site's results to the Manufacturing Performance Group management as well as the plant. management.

You are also jointly responsible for the operating results of the plant's performance plan

Key Accountabilities     

·  Help identifying potential improvements and qualifying the issues.
·  Prioritize the identified topics and define appropriate actions / projects
·  Lead the definition, implementation and update the plant's performance improvement plan
·  Coach / challenge the management team in the implementation of this plan
·  Lead the projects (continuous improvement)
·  Manage and roll-out group standards in terms of tools, methodologies, facilitation, challenge and performance improvement
·  Support, challenge and guide teams in all aspects of understanding and use of manufacturing performance tools
·  Participate if appropriate in the development of new tools or methodologies as a pilot for the group
·  Motivate and engage teams through a positive attitude to stimulate changes
·  Coordinate and facilitate training related to manufacturing performance tools at all levels
·  Coordinate the support of external consultants (if applicable)
·  Audit the implementation progress of the performance improvement plan
·  Ensure that the performance improvement plan has an impact on the results and the culture of change around a common vision of zero defects
·  Know, respect and enforce the safety rules, quality assurance, food security, health and environment
·  Promote and provide support for the sharing of ideas, knowledge, standards and improvements
·  Communicate the activities and results within site and to the Manufacturing Performance Group organization

·  Accountable for the performance of the cell, incl. OEE, Quality (methods, standards… )
·  Responsible for continuous improvement methodology (standards);
·  Daily coaching / training
·  Visual management
·  SPC management (roll-out + sustainability)
·  Implement a robust problem solving mindset within the cell

·  Promotes internal benchmarking
·  Advise required tools to be implemented

·  Support the Unit Manager in the master plan realization

Qualifications/Requirements

Education:  Engineering degree in chemistry, food process, mechanical or general

Experience:

Industrial experience of 3 to 10 years in a role of production manager or technical or project management

Specific requirements:

·  Knowledge and / or practice of TPM / Lean management. Green Belt certification highly desirable. Practice of continuous improvement tools and problem solving;
·  SAP and MES knowledge is a plus;
·  strong knowledge on SPC (theoretical and project implementation).
·  Business Trips (Percentage): up to 10 %
