Roquette America’s manufacturing facility in Gurnee, Illinois, produces polyols used in numerous applications, such as pharmaceuticals, food, confections and oral care products.

Job Description

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

-Inspect finished products for compliance with established quality specifications 

 -Perform routine laboratory testing such as analytical testing using standard lab equipment 

-Initiate documentation for nonconforming materials as required

 -Perform stability testing 

 -Update material status inventory system as necessary

 -Assist with cross-training and mentoring other technicians 

 -Assist with management of retention materials 

 -Instrumentation support; to include calibrations, maintenance and troubleshooting 

 -Assist with development of new and revised quality control methods 

-Support or execute validations as assigned 

 -Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Competencies, Education and Experience

 -Bachelor degree in Science or associated field

 -Knowledge of basic chemistry

 -Problem Solving/Analysis.

 -Leadership.

 -Teamwork Orientation.

 -Project Management.

 -Communication Proficiency.

 -Performance Management. 

 -Technical Capacity.

 -Excellent basic math skills 

-Demonstrates strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

-Demonstrates the ability to assimilate and apply information quickly to assure department objectives

 -Demonstrates ability to prioritize work and responsibilities
