The Summer @ Roche Intern Program has been developed to provide students with a fun yet rewarding summer through hands-on experience and numerous opportunities to network with other interns as well as employees in the organization. Additionally, we help our students meet their career development and educational goals while potentially building a future with the Roche organization. Leveraging the education you received already, we hope to give you an opportunity to grow and develop with us!

Job Responsibilities:

To assist in reducing complexity and also providing tools and procedures to the Field-based personnel, Product Support Engineer Interns will:

·  Assist in the maintenance of iSDoc (Roche internal service documentation tool) across multiple LifeCycles
·  Standardize iSDoc procedures and content across multiple LifeCycles
·  Use SolidWorks to create content and support iSDoc goals and updates
·  Develop video content to support existing and new service procedures
·  Write basic software scripting and implement into instrument Service Software
·  Assist in the development of novel tools and procedures development for recently released instrument technology
·  Special projects/assignments, based on business needs at the time of the internship

Additionally, the selected intern will be asked to participate in various intern activities, which may include workshops with leaders in the organization, our mentor program, and our Poster Symposium among other activities.

Program Requirements:

·  Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university during program calendar year 2020
·  Completed at least 2 years of college/university to be eligible for the program.
·  Must have a ≥3.0 GPA
·  Minimum availability of 12 weeks (Required start on or before program Welcome Reception and end date on or after Summer End Poster Symposium).
·  Previous experience in the job duties listed, either through course work or industry/academia
·  Participation in student organizations and/or other leadership experience

Minimum qualifications:

·  Majors - any technical studies focused major (typically from engineering or scientific disciplines)
·  Basic skills include use of Microsoft Office tools, electro-mechanically inclined, good communication skills (written and oral) and willingness to present findings to groups of various sizes
·  Special skills could include use of SolidWorks, a software coding proficiency (especially C++), experience with Visual Basic and creation of documentation and/or training curriculum

The selected candidate will learn:

·Knowledge of GCS processes

·Knowledge and experience with Roche Tissue Diagnostics products

·Development of service and support focused material for global stakeholders

·Coaching and further development of communication and presentation skills
