The position

As an intern at Roche, you can participate in the important work that is helping to change patients' lives all over the world. Our internship programme is being expanded to include opportunities for financially-minded individuals who want to gain insight into the working environment and help towards transforming financial reporting, ready for the future. This is an excellent opportunity for enrolled Bachelor and Masters students looking to gain experience in Financial Controlling, Reporting, Planning & Analysis.

You will be part of both the Commercial Finance and Financial Control teams located in Burgess Hill. In this internship you will get a financial perspective on a globally leading diagnostics company and a better understanding of a wide-range of financial approaches.

Your main tasks will be:

·  Supporting the Commercial Finance team in their customer-facing reporting process: consolidation and reconciliation of reporting data (actuals & forecasting)
·  To analyse and interpret actual results and forecast to assess the financial performance of our customer base and provide insight into areas for improvement for both Roche and the customer
·  Support the Financial Control team with existing internal and external reporting. Review and implement key control measures required to be reported on a monthly basis. Identify and implement process improvements.
·  Participate in projects to enhance systems and processes, particularly around efficiency analysis and customer insight reporting

Desired profile

Who you are

You are an enrolled Bachelor or Masters student in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field. You are enthusiastic about finance, new technologies and you easily show engagement with people.

Moreover you are/have:

·  Self-starter attitude and independent working style
·  Strong analytical skills
·  Extremely motivated and willingness to continuously learn
·  Open mind-set with a high degree of curiosity associated with a structured, financially-thinking mind
·  Strong technical skills in business applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
·  Good communication and networking skills with a dedicated approach
