Cloud Platform Engineer

Role Description:

The Cloud Platform Engineer position within P&G Digital Marketing IT team is responsible for developing services & applications within P&G Digital Ecosystem (1000+ websites & applications, 2bn outbound communications/yr, 250m CRM contacts). The role involves definition, design & development of Cloud-native services & applications fitting into overarching Service-Enabled Architecture. The position requires a strong background in Cloud technologies (Azure preferred) and strong command of JavaScript (Node.js) and both SQL and no-SQL databases.

Key Responsibilities:

·Translate business requirements into service/application design

·Define, develop and own services & applications within Service Oriented Architecture in a timely and bug-free manner

·Use and participate in definition of reusable components, frameworks, common schemas, standards & tools

·Provide expertise, input and troubleshooting support as one of the experts on the platform

·Collaborate with Architecture team to make right technology choices & perform feasibility evaluation

·Help PM in identifying key technical risks and mitigation plans, effort estimation and planning

Qualifications

· Experience in developing applications within Service Oriented Architecture

· 2+ years of experience in Node.js (JavaScript will be primary language)

· Front-end JavaScript experience is desired

· 5+ years of experience in back-end programming language & RDBMS database

· Experience with NoSQL database

· Experience in developing applications using native Cloud services (Azure preferred)

· Experience with cloud-based services like caching, databases, search, etc.

· Experience in Container based deployments

· Experience in using Continuous Integration and Delivery

· Proficient in creating technical documentation

· Up-to-date with technology trends and possess ability to correlate them with business needs

· Fluent in English (spoken & written)

· Holds a valid EU work permit
